There is more than one artist with this name:
1) Watershed is a South African band featuring lead singer Craig W. Hinds. Most famous for their signature tune 'Indigo Girl', Watershed became a natural success when a German radio DJ heard the single whilst vacationing in South Africa, and played it on the air in Germany. Watershed went on to become a German and international success.
Watershed consists of Craig Hinds (lead singer, songwriter), Nic Rush (guitar), Tulsa Pittaway (drums), Hodge (bass), and Graham Smith (keyboards). Since April 2006 Lizzie Rennie (violin) is back in the band.
They have released three albums in South Africa:
* In the Meantime, which has achieved platinum status in the country,
* Wrapped in Stone, released 2003, which has achieved gold so far, and
* Mosaic, released 10th October 2005 (gold status).
2) Watershed is an alternative rock band based in Columbus, OH. The band's sound is heavily influenced by early classic rock, especially The Kinks, whom the band regularly covers during live performances. Watershed consists of Colin Gawel (guitar, vocals), Joe Oestreich (bass, vocals), Dave Masica (Drums), and Mark "Poochie" Borror (guitar).
The band's two most recent albums, The More it Hurts the More it Works (2002) and The 5th of July (2005) have recieved national attention, with "Can't Be Myself," the lead single from The More it Hurts... featured on abercrombie.com and playing regularly on XM Satellite Radio.
Watershed tours the U.S. regularly, and has been on national tours opening for Cheap Trick, Ben Folds Five, The Smithereens, and Insane Clown Posse.
3) Watershed was a band from Norway, more precisely from Klepp, south of Stavanger. In 1999 they released the album Catch Us If Can. Terje Vinterstø Røthing, of Kaizers Orchestra (also known as "Ted Winters" of Skambankt), played guitar in this band before he joined Kaizers Orchestra in 2000.
